The Ikwezi Art Centre

Our primary focus is the upliftment of previously disadvantaged artists and to create a sustainable and commercially viable venue for talented individuals to full potential.

The Ikwezi Art Centre is sponsored by Silke Financial Services. Ikwezi will eventually become a sustainable art centre offering the following subsidised facilities:

- The exhibition of original African art
- The training of "new" up-and-coming artists.

The two rondavels at Montebello are in a beautiful setting within a "forest" environment. The artists – all from the townships - are provided with a travel allowance every month and are given the art materials. Visitors can watch the artists painting and purchase art work.
